The purpose of this conference is to provide healthcare staff current evidence for improving the pain assessment and treatment of older adults with pain.
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe barriers & social implications for pain management in older adults.
- Identify pain assessment measures for both cognitively intact & cognitively impaired older adults.
- Describe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment relevant to pain management of the older adult.
